​Caldwell/Hays Emergency Services District No. 1 will hold a General Election on November 3, 2026, for three (3) Commissioner positions, each serving a four (4) year term.

Pursuant to Texas Health and Safety Code Section 775.0345, a candidate must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and a resident of the district. In addition, current state law requires a candidate for an emergency services district to be a qualified voter as required by Texas Election Code Section 141.001.

To be eligible, a person must:

​

• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age;

• Reside within the district boundaries;

• Be a qualified voter;

• Not have been determined mentally incompetent by a court; and

• Not have a final felony conviction.
